ICI STUDENTS CHAPTER

INAUGURATION

The opening ceremony of the ICI (Indian Concrete Institute) Students Chapter at SNGCE Campus was held in 2022. The event was presided over by Dr. Anil Joseph, a renowned expert in the field, and Mr. Shyju C Nair. The ICI Student Chapter for the year 2022 was inaugurated with the election of new coordinators. Following the formal proceedings, Dr. Anil Joseph delivered an insightful technical talk on "Recent Trends in Civil Engineering," sharing his expertise on the latest advancements and innovations shaping the industry. SITE VISIT TO CHELLANAM

The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the ICI Students Chapter, organized a site visit to the Chellanam sea wall construction site on March 13, 2023. This visit provided students a valuable opportunity to observe and understand the practical aspects of coastal engineering and sea wall construction, as well as the challenges faced during such large-scale projects bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. The students were guided by Mr. Aswin, AE, PMU-ASE and the faculty members Dr. S Usha, Mr. Ajith A V, Ms. Manju P M, Ms. Jeena Mathew, Ms. Shilpa Sara Kurian, Ms. Maya Mary and Ms. Meenu Prakash.
