Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering widely known as SNGCE is a pioneer, self-financing educational institution established in the year 2002 to impart engineering and management education with the -state - of- art amenities to the deserving candidates. It is well managed by Sree Narayana Gurukulam Charitable Trust, a recognized charitable society comprising of eminent personalities from diverse spheres of activity across the world and flourishes under the wings of SNDP Kunnathunadu Union. SNGCE is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Techno logical University (KTU). It is also an approved Research Centre of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS).
The College is committed to serving the economically and socially marginalized sections of society. Inspired by the principles of Sree Narayana Guru - "Unify and strengthen, Edify and Enlighten", the institution is striving hard to achieve excellence by imparting professional education, front- line industrial experience and knowledge to the youth, the impending citizens of the nation.
The sincere efforts of all stakeholders in creating the up-to-date infrastructure, dedicated members of faculty, disciplined campus, opportunities for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, systematically developed phases and procedures highlighting the personality development of each and every student - all have earned a quick reputation to the institution nationwide. SNGCE is accredited by International Accreditation Organization (IAO) for its high standard and systematic accumulation and dissemination of knowledge.
The college has gradually and steadily grown to the current position with 6 Engineering Departments in addition to the departments of Management Studies and Computer Applications. The departments are greatly benefited by the expertise of more than 20 in-house Ph.D. holders and visiting members of faculty from prominent institutions in India and abroad. Each department annually organizes at least one National /International Conference/ Seminar / Workshop/ Symposium for the effective pro-active experience in the latest trends of technologies and research findings to bridge the gap between the theories they learn and their real applications in civilizations and industries.
The college is extremely proud of its Alumni, a considerable number of which are entrepreneurs or senior executives in industries spread all over the world. Many of them are in the fields of Research and academic development. Several advanced centers are set up in the campus including the BOOTCAMP (Project incubation center), FAB Lab (fabrication laboratory), industrial capacity CNC machinery, Digital Repository System, MOODLE etc., some of which were with the financial support from State Government/ University to give the adequate exposure to the students in the advanced areas.
We have long been at the forefront of breakthrough research and innovation. The college maintains a close interaction with several R & D Institutions and Universities like KUFOS through institutional network programmes and collaborative research programmes. The college has signed MoUs with research organizations and Universities in India and abroad to promote closer interaction to the extents of technology development, training students and curriculum design and updates. The course and career guidance cell in the college analyses, direct and redirect the students to select their core areas based on their individual skills and aptitudes.
