ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2002.  The Department offers B. Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department has well–qualified and committed faculty members. Department is equipped with excellent infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities to explore the technological challenges in the areas of Electronics, Communication, Digital System Design, VLSI & Embedded System, Signal processing, ASIC design, etc.

 Electronics and Communication Engineering is growing day by day in every country. It has an important role from defence sector to space programs to the basic need of human beings including the internet to the entertainment industry. The size of all kinds of electronic gadgets is decreasing day by day. It shows the capability of EC engineers. Each and everything in the world is connected with electronics.

WHAT WILL BE THE FUTURE DEMAND FOR ECE ENGINEERS?


Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) involves researching, designing, developing, and testing of electronic equipment used in various systems. Electronics and Communications engineers also conceptualize and oversee the manufacturing of communications and broadcast systems.
This stream of engineering deals with analog transmission, basic electronics, microprocessors, solid-state devices, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, microwave engineering, satellite communication, antennae, and wave progression. It also deals with the manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits, and communication equipment. The future of technology advancements is likely to depend on the developments in the electronics and communication field. Electronics and communication are the two primary pillars of our society these days. In the coming years, the trend will continue, and ECE will eventually emerge as one of the most prominent fields of engineering studies with substantial demand for ECE engineers all over the world.

*The Department of ECE in Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering gives considerable weightage to occupational placements and practice-based courses.
