Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) SNGCE Chapter
SAE International SNGCE chapter was formed on 25th October 2019 under the auspices of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SNGCE. The society was inaugurated by Adv. T A Vijayan, Executive Director, SNGCE. Ninety three students from various classes of Mechanical Engg enrolled as members of SAE. Various technical events including workshops on Engine dismantling, Machining competition, modelling competition, technical quizzes etc. have been conducted.
During the COVID pandemic, SAE members together with IEDC –BOOT Camp SNGCE extended their support to the fight against COVID. Our students designed and fabricated a new model of automatic hand sanitiser and installed various Govt. Hospitals and offices.
Despite pandemic conditions various online events including technical talks and webinars were conducted.
