The Entrepreneurship Development Club (EDC) is functioning in SNGCE from 2004. The main objectives of the club are to
Cultivate entrepreneurial talents among students
Motivating the students for their career as an eminent Entrepreneur.
The club is inculcating the talent by conducting Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, and interactive sessions with well known Entrepreneurs
Under the auspices of the club industrial visits will be organized to make the students aware the industrial environment and to provide them practical awareness about the functioning of an industry/ business organization. Under the auspices of the club the students will be delegated to various seminars, technical/ business related awareness training organized by different Govt./ non Govt. agencies such as District Industries centre, Kerala Institute for Entrepreneurship Development ( KIED), KITCO etc.
During the year 2016, START BOOT CAMP as per the guidelines of Kerala Start-up Mission has been started. Innovation and Entrepreneurship activities are being coordinated under the auspices Start Boot CAMP. It works to create a platform for the students and staff to share their technical knowhow and build new ideas. SNGCE BOOT -CAMP accommodates students’ innovation and provides the atmosphere to nurture their innovative ideas.
A mini-Fab lab installed with the support of KTU, provides extremely good facility for incubation. An IoT lab also functions exclusively for innovation and Entrepreneurship development. Modern type Laser Cutting Machine, 3D printing machine, Shop Boot machine, Vinyl Cutter, Sand blaster, electronics section. Also, an E- Yantra lab installed with support of Robotic programme IIT offers most modern facility for innovators. In addition to this lab facilities of various departments having most modern machines like CNC machining centre, Material testing and analysis facility, various software analytical tools also ensure support for innovators.
