The Department of Civil Engineering hosted a radio program on National Space Day, August 23, 2024. The featured speaker was Mr. Babu K. S., a Retired Technical Officer from the Electrical Section at APEP, Aluva. With thirty-two years of experience in ISRO's launch vehicle integration and launching activities, including PSLV, GSLV, and LVM-III, Mr. Babu has been instrumental in the continuous production and supply of Ammonium Perchlorate and Strontium Perchlorate, both crucial for ISRO's launch operations. His dedication to the field was recognized when he received the Excellence Award from the ISRO Chairman for his role in the electrical integration of LVM-III in 2011.
