The Civil Engineering Department organized a field visit to a Residential construction site located in Pancode, Kolenchery on 4th October 2024. This construction project is being taken up by Mr. Appus, who is an alumnus MTech (CASE) 2014-2016 batch and is currently, working as the Managing Partner of The Building Contractor. The residential buidling is a two -storeyed building with three bed rooms. The construction of the plinth beam was going on with a framework technique provided throughout the construction based on the soil conditions. The field visit provided an opportunity for civil engineering students to gain real-world insights into the construction industry. Together, they explored the site, observed ongoing work, and learned about the methods and practices being used in the construction project, further enhancing their understanding of civil engineering principles.
