SYSTEM SOFTWARE AND MICROPROCESSOR  LAB

OBJECTIVE

This lab gives hands-on experience in how microcontrollers, and microprocessors can be programmed. It aims to enable students to design and implement system software. The student should get familiar with assembly level programming of microprocessors and microcontrollers, interfacing of devices to microcontrollers, resource allocation algorithms in operating systems and design and implementation of system software.

DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LAB

OBJECTIVE

A DataBase Management System (DBMS) is a software package with computer programs that controls the creation, maintenance, and use of a database. It allows organizations to conveniently develop databases for various applications. A database is an integrated collection of data records, files, and other objects. A DBMS allows different user application programs to concurrently access the same database. DBMSs may use a variety of database models, such as the relational model or object model, to conveniently describe and support applications. It typically supports query languages, which are in fact high-level programming languages, dedicated database languages that considerably simplify writing database application programs. Database languages also simplify the database organization as well as retrieving and presenting information from it. A DBMS provides facilities for controlling data access, enforcing data integrity, managing concurrency control, and recovering the database after failures and restoring it from backup files, as well as maintaining database security.

COMPILER DESIGN LAB

OBJECTIVE

Compiler is a software which takes as input a program written in a High-Level language and translates it into its equivalent program in Low Level program. Compilers teaches us how real-world applications are working and how to design them.Compilers have a general structure that can be applied in many other applications,from debuggers to simulators to 3D applications to a browser and even a cmd / shell.Compiler design lab provides deep understanding of how programming language Syntax, Semantics are used in translation into machine equivalents apart from the knowledge of various compiler generation tools like LEX,YACC etc.

PROGRAMMING LAB

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the lab is to  help the students in understanding a powerful, portable and flexible structured programming
language which is suitable for both systems and applications programming. It is a robust language which contains
a rich set of built-in functions and operators to write any complex program.

DATA STRUCTURES LAB

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this lab is to teach students various data structures and to explain them algorithms for performing various operations on these data structures. This lab complements the data structures course. Students will gain practical knowledge by writing and executing programs in C using various data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, hash tables and search trees.

CYBER SECURITY LAB

OBJECTIVE

The lab is intended to provide knowledge on information assurance, embedded systems, threat intelligence methods, data mining, machine learning and more. These secure, well-equipped spaces together form a collaborative hive to anticipate, overcome, and continually resist emerging cyberthreats.

NETWORK PROGRAMMING LAB

OBJECTIVE

Computer networking is the engineering discipline concerned with communication between computer systems or devices. It is the practice of linking computing devices together with hardware and software that supports data communications across these devices.

CSE departtment has a well maintained  department Library, which comprises of books titles related to latest trends as well as related to the curriculum of the students.The library of the Computer Science Department is a resource, for the academic institution. It is carefully curated to meet the needs of students, faculty and researchers in the field of computer science. It serves as a haven for those seeking to deepen their understanding of algorithms, programming languages, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Additionally, it provides a conducive environment where students can study, collaborate on projects and conduct research.There are also many general books, which are helpful for the students to prepare for the Aptitude Exams.Notably, these general books are a boon to students preparing for aptitude exams. Covering topics such as mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem-solving, these books provide essential tools to excel in these exams, ensuring that our library supports not only academic excellence within the field of computer science but also the broader educational goals of our students.
