Unique Practice / Institutional Distinctiveness

The College has its own FM radio station (FM 97.5 SNGCE waves), established with the objective of providing information and entertainment to the students and to promote their fine art skills and talents. The radio broadcasts for 2 hours every working day, 1 hr during lunch break and 1 hour in the evenings. The programs include S & T based programs, talks by internal and external experts, regional, state, national and international news, cultural and art programs etc. The contributions have to be submitted to a screening committee which will review the contents for the quality, relevance and adherence to relevant laws. The contribution may be rejected, returned for modifications or accepted as such. The Screening Committee is constituted by the Principal with representatives of students, teachers, non-teaching staff and the PTA. The FM 97.5 SNGCE waves have a good number of listeners from all sections of the campus community.
